- I guess there is no surprise for anyone that iPhone 4/4S is 2011�s top selling device according to Krusell�s list for 2011. The iPhone is a sensitive smartphone with a very high attachment rate on cases, says Ulf Sandberg Managing Director at Krusell. In a way, it is more fascinating to see other models on our top seller list, such as Samsung�s Xcover which really is a device made for a rougher treatment. Still consumers prefer to buy a case, even if the phone doesn�t need protection as much as the user needs a convenient usage of the device in their daily life.

The Swedish manufacturer of carrying cases for portable electronics, Krusell, releases its "Top 10"-list every month. The lists above is based on the number of pieces of custom made mobile-, smartphone cases ordered from Krusell during December 2011/Year 2011. Krusell's list is unique due to the fact that it reflects the sales of phones on six continents and in more than 70 countries around the globe.

- Symptomatic for the year 2011, the top seller list from Krusell for December showed that iPhone is still on top, says Ulf Sandberg Managing Director at Krusell. Samsung have thru the whole year, giving them a fight with a number of phones making its way up the list. Notable is that Sony Ericsson�s upgraded Arc S has made it to keep third place during the Christmas period, and that the new Galaxy Nexus made it to fifth place during its first month on the market.

Svenska mobil- och laptopv�skf�retaget Krusell har blivit anm�lda till Reklamombudsmannen f�r sin tv kampanj, �Paparazzi�. Kampanjen som omfattar tre olika filmer har ett genomg�ende tema om hur p�tr�ngande k�ndisfotografer kan vara och har vid flertalet tillf�llen visats p� TV4 under 2010 och 2011. Dock har nu f�retaget blivit anm�lt till RO.

Anm�lan avser en av filmerna som utspelar sig p� en bakgata i Paris och anm�lan pekar p� att den �r sexistisk, schabloniserande och k�nsdiskriminerande.

-Vi kommer under de kommande dagarna att skicka in v�rt yttrande till Reklamombudsmannen och i v�ntan p� deras utl�tande kommer vi inte att anv�nda filmen medialt, s�ger Ulf Sandberg, VD p� Krusell.
Jag �r dock mycket f�rv�nad �ver att vi har blivit anm�lda. Vi har visat v�ra filmer f�r kunder i flera l�nder runt om i v�rlden och generellt f�tt ett mycket positivt bem�tande av s�v�l konsumenter som �terf�rs�ljare. Globala butikskedjor har anv�nt filmerna i sin tur som en del av sin marknadskommunikation kring v�ra produkter. Thru the launch of iPhone 4S, Apple is back on the throne on Krusell�s best seller list of November. The list for November reflects that Sony Ericsson has made good results out in the market with the updated Arc S and its siblings Ray and Neo, says Ulf Sandberg MD at Krusell. Still it�s obvious that the market right now is very much about Galaxy SII and iPhone 4S, which is described as the battle of the giants in many markets.

Krusell� s factory re-opened, but somewhat isolated due to the flooding in Thailand.

On October the 12th Krusell announced that they are evacuating personnel and closing down factory due to the flooding�s in Thailand.
This is Thailand�s worst flooding in modern time, which have directly affected about 2 million people and forced thousands of factories to shut down or halt their operations. Krusell� s factory is located in Sena, seven miles north of Bangkok, where the water level now slowly decreases daily with 1-2 centimeters per day. In Bangkok it is the opposite where the water levels increase and is causing major damage.
- We have re-opened the factory again after 13 days of production downtime. We have started the production but with reduced capacity. There are major problems regarding transportation to and from the factory and in the supply of components. We have coped quite well considering the circumstances, but one should not assume that all risks are reviewed. Would dykes around us to give way, we will immediately have a few feet of water in both our warehouse and factory building, says Ulf Sandberg, CEO at Krusell. To assist staff in Bangkok, we have rented apartments near the office, so that those whose homes are affected, or those with problems to get home because floods, can stay overnight in a safe place.
- Regarding deliveries, after the summer we have built up the Swedish stock for the Christmas sales which means that the stores will not be significantly affected at present. What we see now is that our OEM sales will be affected as we are producing on behalf of external clients, and thus not put the products in stock. It also becomes difficult for us in the current situation to make up for lost productivity and the difficult accessibility limits on the roads. We cannot allow our employees to work overtime when we have a responsibility to take them safely to and from work. We are therefore only running the production during the daytime so everyone can get home by daylight, he concludes.
Krusell continues to daily monitor the development with Swedish personnel in place in Thailand.

The Top seller list of October from the Swedish case manufacturer Krusell shows pretty clearly that the battle of mobiles for the number one position is still pretty much a fight between Galaxy S II and iPhone 4.
- I am pleased to see that we have five brands on this month�s top seller list, says Ulf Sandberg CEO at Krusell. It�s a good sign to see that the volumes are divided on multiple brands even if LG and RIM are out, and HTC only have one model this month. For the coming month, I forecast that iPhone 4S will climb and so will Sony Ericsson Arc S.

Krusell is evacuating personnel and closing down factory.

The Swedish case- and accessories company Krusell�s factory in Sena, Thailand will be closing down and evacuated immediately, on account of the recent floods that hit the areas around Bangkok. -Earlier this week, several factories in our surrounding area, the Ayutthaya province just north of Bangkok, were forced to shut down production and evacuate, says Marcus Krusell, CEO Krusell Thailand.
The water level has now risen further, and this morning we were forced to activate our evacuation plan. We had to close both our warehouse and the factory. The work load will be split in three parts, working in parallel. We will make sure that our over 500 employees can find safety for themselves and their families. We will close the warehouse, empty it of all inventories, and try to find routes out of the region for the transports. At the same time we�ll try to get machinery and other equipment to higher ground, hopefully before nightfall. We started accommodate some of our employees and their families as early as last week, when areas where they have their homes were flooded. As soon as the evacuation of the factory this evening is finished, the local organization will have full focus on humanitarian aid. Mainly we�ll focus on finding housing to our employees, where they can live until the water levels returns to normal.
It�s of course hard to give any certainty to how long the production will be stopped, but we will continue to communicate changes in our situation as they arise. How many billions of Bath this will cost the society, the people and the companies, I guess no one can estimate for the time being, Marcus Krusell finishes.

The situation for Krusell International is serious, but under control. A large portion of the fourth quarter�s stock is already in our European warehouse, or on its way there, Ulf Sandberg, CEO Krusell International, says. The fourth quarter is, seen historically, the most important quarter of the year, and our ambition is to reach our estimated sales goals. Cost-wise, we will allocate funds to help our personnel in Thailand, which will show in the group�s results for the fourth quarter.

The headline for Krusell�s Top Seller list of September is that in Top 3, nothing has changed from last month. Samsung Galaxy II is still the number one selling case. What is more interesting on the list is that Sony Ericsson is climbing the list with both Ray and Arc, says Ulf Sandberg CEO at Krusell. The new updated Arc S, with as a new processor and updated software has got a lot of good media which shows in the statistics. Also Ray has been met with positive feedback, and the target for Q4 is set high on this device.

Samsung Galaxy S II is still on top of Krusell�s Top seller list for the second month in a row. The last month we have all read more than what probably is healthy for us, regarding the legal wars between Apple and Samsung. Even though Apple is making life hard for Samsung, the Galaxy II is still number one on our list, says Ulf Sandberg CEO at Krusell. What device that will have the top position for September, hopefully will be the results of the consumers choice and not by a court he ends.

Samsung Galaxy S II is the device that creates the most sales on cases in July for Krusell.

- Two months ago I predicted that we would see this Samsung model as the number one selling case, says Ulf Sandberg CEO at Krusell. I was a bit too hot on the trigger, since I was wrong two times before it became reality. I expect us to see the same results, with minor changes, for the list of August but I can be wrong again of course he ends.
